Solar Energy Lighting Solutions

   

The solar technology is very much established in the world and there is no point of its technical viability. The increased use of electricity has made it even more viable and cost effective, as the electricity is getting expensive day by day. Clean Power (Pvt.) Ltd. (CPL) has developed commercial & customized lighting solutions through solar energy. CPL, solar lighting solutions are comprehensive, durable and cost effective. These include Solar Power LED Based Lights for electrification of Billboard, Roads & Streets and Parks.

Clean power (Pvt) Ltd. is working on projects related to alternate energies since 2001. CPL is certified by the Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) of Pakistan to do projects for developing alternative energies application.

 At present CPL is working with Government Baluchistan in Gwadar. The upfront cost of Solar Lighting system is justified with the savings of infrastructure, electricity bills and connectivity hurdles.

 

    1. Energy Efficient LED Systems
   
LED (Light Emitting Diodes) based lights equivalent to 120, 160, 250 and 400 watts conventional light depending on number of LED’s. These lights are categorized on the basis of number of LED’s in the light. These lights range from 75 LED’s to 150 LED’s for medium applications and 200-300 for high intensity applications. Lighting systems of upto 600-700 LEDs are also available for extreme requirements
The overall performance of LED based light depends upon its mcd, its dispersion angle, LED mounting angle, LED-to-LED distances and the design of light housing. LEDs have a service life of 100,000 hours, which makes it 25 years (if used 10 hours a day).
 

LEDs are directional lights thus preferred for spot applications. However, CPL has learnt to throw light in different directions by adjusting individual LEDs. Moreover, LEDs can be mounted in a number of fixtures to throw light in all directions from one point. Thus, the feature of directional light is used as a major advantage

LED’s are very low in charge consumption, thus requiring low powered Solar Panels and less capacity of storage bank. An LED light can produce much more light (2 to 4 times) than equivalent conventional light.
LED used at CPL are specially manufactured to produce extra ordinary brightness. Different arrangements of LEDs in different lights with their specific placement schemes operating voltages, dispersion angles etc can lit any specific place according to requirement.

    2. Designing the Best Solar System
   

Our engineers have utmost grip on load calculations & have potential of designing most efficient Solar systems. State of the art applications are engineered to make best use of solar energy. The functional specifications are in terms of daily usage (typically 6 to 12 hours) and storage for continuous operation (typically 1 to 3 days).

 We design systems to perform according to designed functional specifications & subsequently design specifications of components.

2.1.   Solar Panel  

CPL offers solar panels of numerous capacities ranging from 02 watt to 270W. Even heavier modules can be developed by integrating panels. The panels are of German origin using the best quality cells in the world.

2.2.   Batteries  

Our system comprises of lead acid battries having a capacity of 10-200 Ah. These batteries are encased in a metalic box with the provision of lock in order to avoid theft lost. These batteries are sealed and have a service life of 05 years with no maintenance

2.3. Controllers and Timer  

Charge controller is a centralized device which
acts as master mind of system. It turns the lights
on in dark and turns off after designed duration.
There is a selector to set the duration.
Charge controllers ensure a unidirectional flow from panel to battery & battery to load.

It cuts off voltage drops to 10.5 Volts to avoid early depletion. Its also cuts-off supply from panel if battery voltage reaches 14.5 volts to avoid overcharging. This effect ultimately increases the total service life of battery.

2.4 Invertors  

Inventors are used to operate loads at 220V, AC.
